In order to make the hidden blade stronger, you both need to level up. The main use of the hidden blade in Origins is for stealth kills and you'll need to make sure your level is higher than the enemies. Explore the map and complete quests to increase your XP.
So I played this on a free weekend awhile back. Huge fan of origins and odyssey. I had trouble getting into it, only got a little past getting the hidden blade and attacking the first "boss." Just downloaded again since it was added to gamepass. Does it get better? The world felt boring in the early part.
