Hesays (1:12), “I will always be ready.” “I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up” (1:13). “I will also be diligent” (1:15). “Diligent” is the same word that Peter used in verses 5 & 10. Peter’s awareness of the shortness of life spurred him on to work all the harder.
